of the Korean Peninsular

Chen Xiangyang

China has long upheld the principle of peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsular, with the Chinese leaders of different generations stating on different occasions and in different forms that they wish peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsular. At the moment, policy difference, contention for dominance over the reunification, different political systems, military confrontation and differences in economic development between DPRK and ROK are the decisive factors that hinder the reunification. For these, China should state clearly her relative policy positions and improve her diplomatic environment and image.
