The Analysis of Territorial Dispute Between Morocco and Spain

  Morocco and Spain are two countries across the Mediterranean Sea. The two countries have been sustaining special friendly relationship, however, holding controversy over the sovereignty of Ceuta, Melilla and Pere Hill Island which is located in Morocco coastal areas. In July 2002, Pere Hill Island Crisis was outbroken, causing deterioration of two countries’ relations and tightening of regional situations. The territorial disputes between Morocco and Spain can’t be solved in a short term, and will become a threat affecting bilateral relations and Mediterranean Sea situations.
